This post is about how we come up with new volunteer projects.
First, we take a 20-foot sea container, a fairly standard box for various things.
Then the question arises: how to transport the container? If we are talking about mobile baths, then we put the container on a trailer. But what if you don't need to transport it that often? What if you need to bring it and leave it, and the tractor itself is needed at a new location for a different task? This is how we found multi-lift trucks/tractors. The truck brings the container, unloads it, and moves to another location.
And now the cherry on top... For some time now, we have been delivering tires to the Armed Forces of Ukraine - mud tires for pickup trucks, large tires for trucks, even wheels for armored vehicles. Last time it was wheels for KrAZ-6322, each tire weighs more than 100 kg. Yuriy Biryukov asked the deputy foreman where and how he is going to change the tires. The answer was... yeah, a lot of swearing. Because there is no truck tire service in the brigade, because the nearest commercial tire service is tens of kilometers away and there is a queue for a couple of weeks, because he needs it here and now.
As of today, we have a new volunteer project - a cargo tire service based on a 20-foot sea container and a Foden multi-lift truck.
