In any battalion of any brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, any truck is worth its weight in gold. And this is no exaggeration! The supply of Western aid is more about weapons, ammunition, and technology. Logistics is always the "poor relation" here. Undoubtedly, we are also getting help with trucks, a lot of trucks. But it is still a drop in the bucket, especially considering the losses.
Our project to supply Leyland DAF trucks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine is about logistics, the transportation of ammunition and personnel, food and wounded. This is because there is a shortage of sanitary equipment, and DAFs are used quite regularly.
In any battalion of any brigade of the Armed Forces, any truck is worth its weight in gold. And when our DAF comes under fire, we will certainly repair it. If the engine is intact, the transmission is intact, and everything else is damaged by shrapnel, we will replace or repair it.
P.S. The driver is fine, just scratches - he was lucky, he stepped away from the car a couple of minutes before the attack.
