Water purification systems. The first two were delivered to Mykolaiv
April 21, 2022

The pre-war condescending attitude of city dwellers to water, to banal tap water, is shattered by the everyday life of war. And when the water stops flowing from the tap in a large regional center...
Yesterday it rained all day. So fine, nasty, cold. But yes, it was wet.
"The first photo is of my home in my hometown. The house I grew up in is a classic Soviet nine-story building. There was a line at every drainage pipe. It had been raining all day yesterday. We were lucky," says Yuriy Biriukov, ambassador of the NGO "Sprava Hromadas".
Wells are being drilled, there is a supply of industrial water, there is a supply of drinking water. But it is not enough. And the wells are still being drilled. A lot of them. Everywhere.
In my battalion, we drilled a well at the end of the second week of the invasion, anticipating all the options for a "state of siege." Experience, actions at the level of muscle memory and reflexes. The experience of the day before yesterday came in handy: as soon as we heard about the water problems in Mykolaiv, we immediately ordered water purification systems. They were assembled in shell boxes. Simple. Inexpensive. And a lot of them. This system can be connected to any artesian well and produce drinking water.
The first two systems were delivered yesterday.
Experience. It would be better not to have it.
