Yuriy Biryukov, coordinator of the Community Affairs, about his impressions
"Well, I don't write much because of all the fuss and running around. And the constant blackouts and power outages don't help. But there is much to tell and much to show. But we don't do our work for the sake of stories, do we?
We are working to ensure that Kherson will have its own small bakery that will distribute fresh bread free of charge, which is an attribute of normal peaceful life that is still unattainable and missing. One more week of preparatory and setup activities and we will have bread.
We are working to ensure that there are as many of our tents as possible in the city - with heat, electricity, and the Internet. We will distribute bread here, and bottled water will be available here. Winter will last for a long time, problems will last for a long time, but in the warmth and light, the world does not seem so depressing.
We are working to ensure that another dozen DAF Leyland trucks go to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and carry all kinds of useful things. And we are still at the beginning of this project, as the total number of trucks contracted for purchase is almost three hundred.
The daily work at the junction of yesterday and today, at the junction of volunteer day and the day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The work that takes place thanks to you, thanks to your help. We are just logistics.
