The "as is, as will be" series
October 19, 2022

This is not a post from the "what happened" series, but rather a series of "what is and what will happen".
Leyland DAF trucks have been written about, shown, a lot, often. Because we love this project. Two and a half hundred trucks for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, payment for them together with Petro Poroshenko, repairs and tires, delivery of batches of trucks to the troops - yes, we have shown a lot. But this post is about how our team members are able to come up with "good things".
Some of the trucks were bought without sides and tents, and they are in different condition and configuration. The sides, the frame for the awning, the awning itself - if done well, the price bites. And the functionality without the sides is quite sadly lacking.
We talked to the military, because they need to use them. The result of the communication and further efforts is the "kung" box in the photo. It turned out to be a mobile warehouse where you can stuff several cubic meters of cargo. You can put it on the shelves (there are eyelets for lashing), and you can sleep on it if you really want to.
Not fast. Not cheap. Not angry. It is done well and with high quality. The military see it, say "give it" and ask for so-many-more-many-more. And the second kung (also being made) is lined with special metal on the inside and allows you to carry food. It's also very pleasing.
Routine daily work. It brings us closer to victory and helps us fight bad thoughts. And all this is thanks to you, our Citizen Donors!
