Today, at 12:14 a.m., somewhere in Rusanivka (a district of Kyiv, for those reading from other cities), someone took a DJI Phantom 4 quadcopter out of a bag, turned it on, and flew near the Livoberezhna and Darnytsia metro stations, circled over Peremoha Park, and then flew back to Brovarsky Avenue along Perov Boulevard and returned to Rusanivka. The operator did not know that this entire flight was recorded by an objective control system. From the moment the control panel was turned on to the moment the quadcopter landed.
How do we know this?
You see, although Alexei Petrov has several decades of experience, today he is like a boy who has been fishing for the first time, as if he has seen all the wonders of the world in one bottle. So, at 12:07, he turned on the drone detection station and began to study it. So far, there is only one station, only initial training - that's why we use the cautious phrase "somewhere on Rusanovka". But you should have seen Petrov from the outside today! Especially when the system notified him of new targets in the air! The system instantly identified the exact type of quadcopter, but was unable to determine the exact location of the operator - and it shouldn't have been able to, as it requires three stations to be turned on and connected to the same network. And then...
And then... but not in Kyiv, but at the front, the system will provide the exact coordinates of the operator and show the type of UAV. The radio will provide the coordinates, boom, there is no more operator of the enemy copter, he is dead.
We continue to raise money for this project - we still need to pay off debts for equipment, and we still need to buy and equip vehicles for the crews. But it is already clear that this drone detection system can radically change the technology and tactics of fighting enemy drones.
