Yuriy Biryukov has been hatching this post for more than a day
February 04, 2023

Yuriy Biryukov has been writing this post for over a day, and this is a rare state for Yuriy - he usually writes without drafts, "on the fly." But here... So, take a few minutes to read it. And the photos... they are also important.
We have many public "bright" projects, we have many public "dim" projects, we have many projects that are not public at all. The paradox of volunteer projects is that they should evoke emotions and a response from you, encourage you to help with money, but not all projects, being critically important, evoke such a response! And it so happens that a very large share of our volunteer projects are... boring. Yeah.
Yes, there is a huge and interesting project to supply large Poseidon UAVs. Yes, there is a project to supply armored vehicles to the Armed Forces of Ukraine - SHILED and Spartan. There is a wonderful and very comprehensive project on baths that evokes good emotions, but in the eyes of many potential donors, it is not heroic or epic. And what about the construction of military equipment maintenance and repair stations? It involves foam concrete, cement, nails and pipes, building materials worth millions of hryvnias. And... we don't say anything about it, because it doesn't evoke a native response. In Yuriy's opinion, repairing broken or damaged equipment is much more important than the mere fact of supplying it.
And here we come to our new project, which was born this week without any dedicated fundraising or hype. MTO-AT is a vehicle maintenance workshop. It is a mobile service station on the chassis of a familiar Leyland DAF four-wheel drive truck with a rich set of devices and tools - from machine tools to semi-automatic welding machines. With all imaginable and unimaginable wrenches and jacks.
Messengers and personal reds from yesterday. Heads of car services of familiar brigades, heads of logistics of familiar and unfamiliar brigades, brigade commanders and their deputies. They offer bribes with trophies and artifacts, promise photo reports and videos, beg and curse (jokingly). The technicians understand and beg. The military understand and click their tongues. Drivers understand and recognize. And potential donors?
The army's critical need for such machines is measured in many hundreds. This is a huge amount of money. Yesterday, we decided that at the first stage we will produce 30 of these trucks for the Airborne Forces, a comprehensive solution to the problem for the entire army. This means buying, delivering and repairing 30 trucks. This means 30 kung fu booths to manufacture and assemble. This means 30 sets of equipment to find, buy and assemble. The cost of one machine is 924,000 hryvnias. And if you multiply it by 30, it's almost three dozen million hryvnias.
Poroshenko will pay half of the bills, but we can't do it without your help. And here's the question - were we able to explain why this project deserves your attention and help? With finances, yes. And with your likes, comments, reposts, and telling your friends and acquaintances about it. We have a chance to solve the problem comprehensively and effectively! And we don't want to miss this chance.
