They need freezers to order and receive at least some fresh meat from suppliers and try to diversify the menu from the constant stew. They need field gas stoves with cylinders for each combat vehicle. For now, they can refuel with reusable cans, and then use disposable ones in the fields. Is it summer? Is it hot? It will pass very soon, and when can an assault company drink hot coffee or tea without lighting a fire - you drink something hot in the morning in winter too? Do the assault troops need equipment and gear, backpacks for RPGs and RPGs for ammunition? We avoid "working" with equipment, but this assault battalion is a separate story of a huge project. There are many more things. There are things that seem to be without pathos, but... 1000 sets of underwear... Yes, in the rear, yes, where there is a Nova Poshta or a store, yes, the army has a salary - in such circumstances, they are the most vulnerable. However, almost every airborne brigade has been at the front for a year without rotation, they have been in constant hell of constant battle for three months. There is no time for a shop there. And what kind of shop is there in the area of Dolyna or Lyman... And we are carrying this as well.
There is a separate story with bulletproof vests and helmets for the "closed" unit. No, no, they were issued. They were issued in early April, something bright blue and strange and humanitarian. The box is checked, the task is completed. But it was soft Kevlar without plates. I mean, no plates at all.
The guys are doing an incredible job, not just words, but a very quiet and closed one - without a single shot fired. And they are not sitting in the second or third line, they are in the woods of the first line, in a hastily dug dugout, everywhere. With small cases and a sea of all kinds of electronics. They are being hunted! With the whole spectrum, all calibers, artillery and aircraft. So do they need armor and helmets? Yes, that's what we decided.
