- I was going to write this post about how these generators, 150 of them, will be used not for the operational support of orders from the Armed Forces, but for bath and laundry complexes and car repair shops.
And these are not just words, this is our daily work. After all, if we already have 50 (!) containers for conversion into baths at our industrial site, and about a hundred more units are due to be delivered within a month, then we buy water pipes and cables by the kilometer, cladding plates by the thousand square meters, and generators, respectively, by the hundreds.
And I was going to write a post about it, and at the same time report that UAH 2,740,500 was spent on the purchase of 150 generators, which is UAH 18,270 per unit. And then I decided to look at the market prices for this model. Ukrainian business is harsh and merciless - this generator costs between 60,000 and 89,000 hryvnias. We bought 18,270 each. Period.
You see, this is the story here. We always check and double-check prices. We always bargain until we are exhausted. When we are done bargaining, we send logisticians and lawyers from the ROSHEN team there, and they bargain further. And then Poroshenko pays half of the bills. This means that for the volunteer budget, these generators cost 9,135 hryvnias! Nine thousand hryvnias for a 7 kW diesel generator!
