These are not "ceremonial" photos of the next delivery of something to the Armed Forces, but our behind-the-scenes view of the industrial site for the production of bath and laundry complexes. This is also a post about a bunch of numbers.
Based on the experience of operating the first six complexes, we can clearly see the figure - one such container should go to a battalion. So, give or take, we are counting 500 people. It is not a luxury, it is not an opportunity to take a hot shower at any time, but it is a normal figure for normal operation. Which gives us another figure - we need 6-7 complexes for a brigade, if we are talking about four battalions, a command and control battalion, and an artillery division. And only for the airborne assault battalion we need... oh.
We started this project in the summer, thinking about one-time donations to our special wards. The complexes were (and are) outsourced to two companies. The speed... power outages... fitters and installers being pulled out to the army... prices and quality... In general, we quickly realized that we needed to deploy our own conveyor on our base. And now we work 6 days a week, from early morning until very late at night - this is our industrial site in the photo. Where we store containers, where we saw and drill, cook and assemble. Where they realize that the army is waiting for the result of their work: hot water, clean uniforms, a breakthrough from the hell of war to a cozy state of cleanliness. This, if you'll excuse the details, is the absence of lice, the eternal scourge of the Russian army (and they need it).
We have announced a plan for this year - 50 such complexes, with an average of one container per week.
And now the latest figures for today. 1000 UAH. This is the average cost of making such a bath for one soldier in a battalion. This includes the cost of the trailer, container, filling, and logistics. Petro Poroshenko pays half of the bills. The other half is raised by us. We receive 500 hryvnias, and we need to collect donations to manufacture one complex for one battalion per soldier.
500 UAH - and one fighter will be able to wash. 500 hryvnias - and one soldier will have a clean uniform and underwear.
This is the math. Yes, we are asking you to help us. This is a warm project. And cozy.
