Less than two days have passed since the trucks were handed over to the military, and today we are already being shown how, with the help of a chisel, blue tape and a kind word, our DAF Leyland has been transformed from a rear donkey into a proud fighting unit. It's a bit out of our logistics delivery concept, but we're not sorry or offended. Quite the contrary!
Meanwhile, two important events took place within a short period of 48 hours.
First, trucks went to Poland to pick up another 6 trucks. And now there are 16 on the site! And 14 more are on their way from England. Yes, we were not joking - we want to send dozens of these trucks to the brigades. And the forty trucks we have purchased for now are just a warm-up.
Secondly, an advance payment was sent to England, which is two million hryvnias. It's a huge figure, but it's only (!) a tiny 5% of the contract value. Petro Poroshenko also sent two million. And now we have 10% of prepayment under the contract for 100 trucks.
And DeKiLLa has hundreds of such contracts. And we are quite serious about trying to really help the army with trucks. Why are we so obsessed with this? Because back in 1979, General Robert Burrow uttered the famous phrase "Amateurs discuss tactics, professionals study logistics."
And this is an absolute truth!
