The damaged DAF was delivered to Kyiv and the Community Matters site, where our team of repairers assessed the scale of the tragedy. Unfortunately, the cab and body had to be replaced. The interior of the workshop was also badly damaged. "Arrived on its own" is also a bit of an exaggeration, it got to Kyiv on a carriage; although it did leave the scene on its own. But if you look at the photos, you will see the condition of the cab and agree that the fact that it could theoretically going alone, does not affect the fact that it was impossible to do so. It would have been too much of a breeze.

And now an interesting detail. During the conversation, the military finally mentioned one detail that they did not say right away. Our DAF not only took over the roof of the building, it also saved a soldier who was sitting right next to the truck and prevented the roof from falling on the man. It literally covered and protected the soldier with itself.
