The photos show two sets of Poseidon H10 MkIII UAVs, which means the purchase price is 28,000,000 hryvnias. And, unlike our colleagues, we did not announce a "big collection" for these two systems. We did not raise money for them at all and did not write posts on social media. Can you imagine?
It's not as complicated as it seems. Look, two military units want such UAVs. Half of the money is traditionally paid by Petro Poroshenko. The faction of the European Solidarity political party in the Poltava City Council initiates a budget redistribution, the city council votes and allocates a subvention of 14,000,000 hryvnias to these two military units. The military units pay the manufacturer and Poroshenko pays the manufacturer. Tomorrow, the military will receive the systems (they have already been trained). Everyone is happy.
Recently, Serhiy Prytula commented that local budgets cannot give money to charitable foundations. This is absolutely true! But local budgets can provide financial assistance to military units. The GUR, as an example, is guaranteed to do so. And under the terms of co-financing, the burden on the volunteer budget, ON YOU, is sharply reduced. In our case, exactly half of this purchase was paid for by Poroshenko with his personal money. I don't know why Prytula doesn't use this tool, though. But it's not my business.
There are local councils that actively and constantly help the military. There are local councils that ignore the requests of the military. We remember both the former and especially the latter.
We continue to raise money wherever we can and try to save money.
