The point of such systems is not just to search for targets along the front line. The point is that these UAVs break through the rather dense veil of enemy electronic warfare along the front line and can go several tens of kilometers deep into the occupied territory. And there - there is something "tasty". There are ammunition depots and repair bases, concentrations of temporary manpower, and equipment. It's not mortars that get there, it's M777s, PzH2000s, Crabs, TR-F1s and FH-70s - the artillery of the "senior chief".
