Yuriy BiryukovAmbassador of the NGO "Community Matters":
"I stayed at my mom's house...
So, I quite seriously became the battalion's deputy commander for logistics. Not indulging in illusions about my own effectiveness as an "assault pilot", I proactively started to deploy logistics service to the 206th Battalion. And I have the best team in the world!
I take my hat off to all the logisticians and deputy commanders of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This is a hellish job. It's all the circles of hell, to which they forgot to give instructions and everything is falling apart every 10 minutes, and you have no room for error. Colleagues, you are monsters.
And the background. I always work under the worst-case scenario, hoping to get lucky and make it easier. When I said in July 2014 that I was stockpiling winter gear, many people laughed. Yeah... And now we have put in an untouched supply of food for a month, taking into account the fact that we will definitely distribute some of the food to the civilian population.
I really want the war to end tomorrow, today. But I know for sure that our team has made sure to be safe. And the 206th "Catch Shufrych" battalion will be able to perform its tasks regardless of the availability of food at the bases.
In this post, I show you how we spend your donations. And right away, I ask you to continue to help us - we still need to buy a lot of things."
